The Fuente Dé cable car is one of those places that you almost must visit if you are looking for rural tourism with children in one of the most beautiful areas of Cantabria. In the heart of the Picos de Europa, less than 30 minutes from El Corcal de Liébana, the Fuente Dé Cable Car, saves a difference of 753 meters, placing the traveler at an altitude of 1,823 meters in just 4 minutes, at a speed of 10 m / sec.
The cable car rates are adapted for tourism with children as it has special rates of 6 euros for children under 12 years of age and free for children under 5 years of age.

CIRCULAR ROUTE OF BREZ
From the village of Brez, in the Camaleño Valley, 20 minutes from our inn, a 5.4 km circular route begins and ends. ideal to do with children.
This old mining route has a height difference of 270 meters throughout its entire route and it takes approximately 2 hours. During the tour, you will go through a forest and a small beech forest and you will see places as interesting as the Canal de la Arreondas, where the miners used to lower the zinc to the town of Lon. Prior to the descent that will take you back to the town of Brez, you will arrive at Castro de las Cerras, an observation point that offers beautiful panoramic views of the town of Brez and the entire Valdebaró Valley.
A simple route, perfect to enjoy tourism in the Cantabrian mountains and its nature with children and discover the Picos de Europa with the family.

CASTAÑAR DE PRENDES AND THE HOUSE OF HEIDI
Just 10 minutes from our hotel we find this very suitable and recommended natural space for the little ones to enjoy.
Surrounded by centenary chestnut trees, this place has a park with picnic areas to enjoy a natural environment of great beauty. In addition, the area has recently gained fame for being the filming location for the “Heidi” movie. The cabin of “Heidi’s grandfather” is located in this area and can be visited.
We also recommend visiting the Pendes cheese factory and the museum, to learn how one of the most typical gastronomic products of Liébana is made. This visit is free and we can manage it from the hotel.

SOTAMA INTERPRETATION CENTER
This interpretation center of the Picos de Europa is located in a unique building that mixes tradition with modernity, stands out for being very interactive, which makes it a fun place for children to enjoy while learning.
A climb through ramps will try to make us imagine an ascent to the highest peaks of the Picos de Europa National Park from which to contemplate beautiful views. They offer perfect activities to enjoy as a family and that children have a great experience.
The center is open every day from 9 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon and during the months of July, August and September until 8 in the afternoon.
